Hydro fracking also called hydro fracturing is a
well-developed process that increases the flow from the bedrock well by
increasing size and the extent of the bedrock fractures that bring the water
into the well. Also for hydro-fracking to work it involves the bedrock
formation to water pressure sufficiently high enough to extend existing bedrock
fractures or create new fractures. Also hydro-fracking is used to increase or
restore the rate in which fluids such as gas, oil or water can be produced from
reservoirs, including unconventional reservoirs such as shale coal or rock
beds. Hydro-fracking enables the production of natural gas and oil from rock
formations deep below the earth’s surface around 5,000 to 20,000 feet. At such
a depth there may not be a sufficient amount of porosity and permeability to
allow natural gas and oil to flow from the rock to the well at economic rates .
How It Works

you lower down the well one or two inflatable hard rubber “sleeves” or balloons
the packers inflate to seal off a section of the well. The packers sit usually
around 20 feet below the end of the casing and 60 feet below the surface then
the water is pumped into the well putting millions of gallons of water into it,
